The HIV tract of the 12th Western Pacific Congress on Chemotherapy and Infectious Diseases will be held in conjunction with the biannual 7th Singapore AIDS Conference on the 4th December 2010. Delegates of 12th WPCCID may attend this conference at no charge. This tract will be comprehensive covering topics ranging from medical and clinical care, the social sciences, prevention and intervention programmes to other HIV-related issues.

Symposium 4: HIV and Human Rights - Get Real!
This session will explore the principles enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, GIPA, Political Declaration on HIV as well as other Conventions (such as CEDAW) that Singapore has ratified. In addition the speakers will also examine local laws, practices to address how these principles are adhered to. This is an interactive session where participants are expected to partake in some activities to raise their own sensitivity to human rights.
